The truth is that even within each line there comes a point where cruiser play changes. If I had to pick just one line to play it would probably be USN CLs but man, the Des Moines is fantastic. It also includes Fiji, one of the strongest tech tree ships in the game and the stinkers on the line being Edinburgh and of course Emerald.Īs for the French line, I've enjoyed my time with them so far, no real stinkers in that line from my experience and that is always a good sign. The British line is the epitome of high risk and reward imo, with Mino being one of the most fun T10s in the game. Some highlights are, Baltimore, Cleveland, Helena, and the stinkers being mostly Seattle and maybe Pensacola but Pensa isn't too bad. The two US lines are a very mixed bag, both T10s are strong, though I lean towards DM due to the better turret setup and the strong AP. The Japanese line was the first I finished and has a good mix of very strong and fun ships (Furutaka, Myokou, Mogami) and some stinkers (Aoba, Ibuki), and then at the end you get Zao, a very strong ship with railguns, Shimakaze torps, and trollish armor, only thing about Zao I don't like is her frustratingly long reload. Hindy is a marvelous ship and probably my favorite cruiser to play. Unlike the German line which is all mediocre to awful till you get to Hindy.
Though that is a playstyle difference on my part, the rest of the Russian line is rather good imo. The only I can flat out not recommend is Moskva, I have never liked that ship and can't get it to work for me. As someone who owns every T10 cruiser other then Henri (on Saint Louis), I have to say they each have their own distinct playstyles and quirks.
